The sculpture was inspired by Da Vinci’s fresco, but also by the modern painter Ben Willikens. The metal spikes were used from the very beginning as a sculptor and applied in many different context. An abstraction of the people united at a table, which is holding them together at a certain time and space, while the spikes emerge from the same origin continuing into endless space. This work is made of sixteen pieces and the steel spikes slide into the oval holes holding the massive oval shaped table at its height by sheer. This sculpture is only produced once at the studio in Germany, but you may want to have a look at different variations of prints and photographs showing this piece in a different sacred light and also to make this art work affordable and suitable for lesser space in an interior environment. The spikes are polished steel and the ta itself is treated with a Mangan wax mixture. The corrosion by weather in an outdoor situation is possible and wanted. The horizontal plates are produced by hydro cut to allow a perfect fit for each spike while penetrating the table.

Mark, born as Mark Huebner in 1966 in Frankfurt/Main, Germany, is a distinguished artist known for his extensive work in painting and large-scale installations and live performances. In 1989, he established his first studio at the Praterinsel in Munich, positioning himself as a pioneering figure among established artists. During this period, he engaged in intensive sculptural work, creating large installations primarily forged from steel, often accompanied by live performances. Collaborating with several notable artists, he gained significant exposure in various exhibitions in Europe, America and Asia. In 2000, Mark relocated to the Península de Osa in Costa Rica, where he shifted his focus to natural resources, particularly bamboo, leading to the creation of "Bamboo Rocks." He initiated a “lifestyle experiment” called Ojo Del Mar, which evolved into a recognized nature refuge and advocated for environmentally sound building methods, including constructing the tallest Tower in Central America. In 2003, he debuted an installation and live performance project at the Museum of Contemporary Art in San José, further solidifying his presence in the art world. Mark's paintings, characterized by mid to large sizes, feature dynamic strokes combined with innovative techniques, along with his current work including live painting. His main work cycles are ‘THE IMPACT PHENOMENON’/ THE MENTAL ASPECT/ MIND ATTACK/ THE ATMOSPHERIC EXPERIENCE/ THE BIOTOPE CONTAINED/ NATURE IN DEFENSE/ MIND EXTINCTION/ DARK LIGHT/ MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE and OTHERWORLD. Mark is currently developing a large exhibition platform for cutting edge art in Costa Rica under the name „M-EX Contemporary“. He continues to live and work in Costa Rica and Europe. „A VISIONARY EXPLORATION OF EXISTENCE“
