About The Artwork

I made "The Mask" to emphasis the mask we all were on our daily life. No one really knows what we feel and going through especially during this hard time with the war going on in my home country and the rest of the world. I love the details of the face, the eyes are gazing at the distance - the future, with a feeling of hope, the lips are sexually and the whole expression is calming. I made this mask using clay, on a stand of wood and cover it with bronze powder and resin as a final layer. It is a beautiful piece that has a presence on the table of shelf.

I was born and raised in a small city by the sea in the north of Israel. I was a very good student in school and was always fascinated with people, people behaviour, people expressions and the abnormality personalities theories. Naturally, I went to study Psychology in the university and graduated in excellence Magna cum Lauda. I loved studying psychology and working with people with disabilities but I was drown more to art and felt more in the "zone" when doing art. I was drawing, painting and sculpting ever since I remember myself. I was studying for the master degree in Psychology but felt that it wasn't for me so I left. After a while, I moved to Asia and traveled in south east Asia a lot. I learned about the different cultures, met interesting people, tasted different food and started incorporate what I see in my art works. The people I have met, the expressions and the facial features. I started teaching myself different techniques and experiencing with different materials and I felt that this is my call and destiny. After a few years I moved to Paris, France and since then I am doing my art in my home studio and enjoying every minute of it. I mainly work with clay, resin and cold cast bronze. I like to sculpt people heads, adults and children and the female and male torsos.
