Wim Van Borm

About the Artist

Wim Van Borm

Belgium

Wim Van Borm is a contemporary Belgian artist renowned for his striking and emotive sculptures. Living in Antwerp (Belgium), Van Borm's work reflects a deep fascination with the body in motion. His sculptures, mostly created from mixed materials (resin, metal, fibre glass, …) are characterized by their intricate unique design with elongated shapes, sharp angles and clean lines, suggesting a fusion of modern and industrial aesthetics. Van Borm's artistic journey began with formal training at the School of Arts Sint Lucas Brussels, where he honed his technical skills and developed his unique style.

Throughout his career, Van Borm has exhibited his work extensively, earning critical acclaim for his ability to capture the essence of his subjects with sensitivity. His pieces frequently explore themes of motion, energy, emotion and the interplay between light and shadow. The shadows cast by the sculptures add another layer of interest, emphasizing its three-dimensional form and creating a play of light and shadow that enhances its visual impact and invites the viewers to engage with the sculptures.

Van Borm's contributions to contemporary art have solidified his reputation as a sculptor, with his works featured in numerous private collections.
