About The Artwork

THE ROCKET Mixed media. About 8 feet High. The design is based on a German rocket from the 1920's. Made with aerospace, aviation, electronics and other parts, including a Mark 6 Nod 3 Sparrow Missile sustainer base. It has a mechanical Flip-Card clock on top with a small lamp with light sensor that comes on at dusk and illuminate the clock. At the center has a small halogen bulb (40 w 120 VAC) that projects light through a red glass lens, the lamp has a yellow push on-off switch. By the center, encapsulated in a part belonging to some sort of a weapon launch control, a small red light will remain on assuring that there is AC power on the rocket. On the side there is a DC volt meter that will tell the voltage applied to flashing color lights bellow when activated by a motion detector, (a sensor on top), at the same time will flash a blue zeon lamp. This motion detector sensor has a timer control (test-1min-3min-5min) duration and range, there is a control switch that will turn it on-off if desired. Unique piece. Stamp signed by artist. 1992
