ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The face was made from a soft type of stone. This small sculpture was made by hand. This sculpture is a mixture of an abstract and a figurative style. I saw a head in this stone. And then the stone got its face. This face was only partially processed realistically, especially the mouth, nose and chin. Most of the stone, because of its natural beauty, remains natural. The color of the stone is mainly beige with various spots of color. From the side, this face looks like a mask. The back is natural. The sculpture has no pedestal and should not be presented in a standing position (like an ordinary sculpture), but should lie on a surface.

I was born and raised in the Ukraine. Also I studied Fine Art in Ukraine - in Lugansk and then in Kiev. Now I live and work in Germany. My works are permanently involved in various exhibitions. My ideas of sculpture on a large scale, I realized with my husband Michael Rofka on symposiums and art projects around the world. I create nature, landscape, animals, still lifes and portraits... Every painting or sculpture are signed. Sometimes I use the name Anna Rogova or Anna Rofka.
