About The Artwork

"Tikbalang" is a creature in Philippine Folklore described as a man with a head of a horse. Stories tell of this creature responsible for someone to be lost in the wilderness. "I was lost in the wilderness of life but now I have found my path..." That's why his anger is manifested in this sculpture. This sculpture is made of paper mache, painted with acrylic and varnished. While most paper mache sculptures have hollow bodies, this sculpture is packed solid with paper mache. Its armature is made of galvanised iron wire. This sculpture is entirely made by hand and is One-of-a-kind. NO cast molds and/or machines were used. Visit my website: www.dennistolentino.weebly.com to know more.

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

I am a self-taught artist currently specializing in figurative sculpture. My medium in sculpting figures is paper mache. Unlike other sculptures that use paper mache which are hollow mine is solid. My sculptures are somewhat stronger but heavier. It would take months to finish a single piece due to long drying time.
