About The Artwork
As with all my sculptures listed here Shatter is an original once-off design meticulously carved into the surface of a high grade ostrich egg shell using a handheld micromotor drill with diamond bits. Included for display is a warthog tusk and bronze stand. My sculptures are made in and shipped from South Africa's ostrich farming capital, Outdshoorn, where I grew up learning this art form from my father.

I am a self taught artist who began carving ostrich egg shells while working with my father making souvenirs for his shop in Oudtshoorn South Africa, the ostrich farming capital. I soon began to experiment with my own designs during my spare time in hopes of marketing them to the international art community.
