Richard Sharples is a British artist originally from Lancashire now based in London. His work encompasses installation, public art, photography and film, but sculpture has always been at the core of his practice. Much of his work is based around the human figure and explores the fragility of human wellbeing. Richard is represented in private and public collections in the UK and internationally, including the V & A (London) Museum of the Moving Image (London) and the National Gallery of Australia. He has been a visiting lecturer at Wimbledon College of Art, Central St. Martins (part of the University of the Arts, London), and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff.
