About The Artwork
Ural is a batyr, Ural is the main hero of Bashkir literature. The main Bashkir epic "Ural-Batyr" is named in his honor. In this epic, Ural-batyr is represented by the younger son of Yanbirde and Yanbike, the antagonist of his older brother Shulgan. Spouses of the Urals - the swan girl Humai (daughter of Samrau) The children of the Urals - Idel, Nugush, Tok, nephew (son of Shulgan) - Hakmar are the eponyms of the main rivers of the Southern Urals (Agidel, Nugush, Yaik, Sakmara). The magical winged horse of the Urals is Akbuzat. The Ural Mountains were created from the body of a hero.
