Urban Rooster Sculpture

I was actually inspired by a dream I had about creations I made with long skinny legs. This is my urban rooster. I created it using a vintage fishing float, foam ball, old wires, Vancouver street sign tissue paper, old carpet nail, parts from an alarm clock, vintage beads, skewers, copper wire, and Canadian stamps. While creating this rooster I thought a lot about the items I was using to create it. Like the fishing floats how many times had this float been in the river helping to feed the fisherman. I thought about the carpet nails I found sitting in my father in laws garage how long had they just sat there waiting to be found. Of course, the old Canadian stamps used on the roosters crown, how many places have those stamps been. I do a lot of thinking while I create.
