Ships in a Crate
As a rebel art that emerged in the wake of the mass destruction and ecological carnage brought about by the Era of Petrochemicals, my sculptures revolve around the posthuman and postmodern reconceptualizing of the nature/ culture relationship by radically deromanticizing art production. This sculpture series reinvigorates the integration of nature and art in my radical proclamations of the body as site and source of artistic production, informed by, responding to, and incorporating the congestion of filth, noise, detritus, and refuse that corresponded to modern urban life and its emergent technologies in the first decades of the twenty-first century.
