About The Artwork
At the moment I am looking for an abstract translation of the 3D shape of flowers. The idea of this series of orchids is that you can hang them in any formation imaginable, in the office or at home. Each flower can easily be hung on a small nail. Because all orchids are white, it gives a nice uniform effect, it is beautiful on a white wall but can also be beautiful on a brightly colored wall.

In response to the ongoing digitalisation, paper artist Imre van Buuren (Almelo, 1969) is making books with accompanying cassettes by hand in her studio in The Hague, the Netherlands. The books can be filled as you like, with your stories, thoughts and images. You can write in them and paste photographs so it really becomes Your Book. Imre is looking for a quiet and subdued atmosphere in her work. Combining assembled paper with silk and threads to obtain a intime artwork that consists of a handmade book stored in a cassette that has a cover which consists of a collage of small items.
