This sculpture is a tribute to the Samnites and their most powerful symbol: the Sacred Ox. The hand-forged iron captures the strength and determination of this ancient civilization. Trained as an industrial designer, I have always had a deep passion for art. My education has provided me with the tools to analyze shapes, proportions and spatial relationships, elements that I now apply to the creation of two-dimensional and three-dimensional works. Since 2013, with the exhibition "Roots", I began to study wooden compositions, giving life to wall sculptures that dialogue with the surrounding space. These works, inspired by the lush nature of Abruzzo where I live, represent for me a continuous search for new forms and material combinations. Wood, with its warm and welcoming materiality, is the ideal material to express my connection with the land and with history. At the same time, since 2015 with the exhibition "Fragments", I have dedicated myself to the creation of iron sculptures, inspired by the rich cultural heritage of my region, recovering everyday objects from the peasant culture of the late nineteenth century and giving them a critical-political context. Then in another research of the same period on the "Samnites" people, I create sculptures in iron and wood, which evoke their mythological symbols, such as the bull and the wolf. Iron, with its resistance and its capacity for transformation, allows me to explore themes linked to memory, tradition and the strength of nature. Lately I have been experimenting with new compositions with the techniques acquired characterized by dynamic graphic signs, which express rhythm together with the spatial relationships of shapes and color. These signs represent for me an attempt to translate into images the emotions and sensations that music arouses in me. "I firmly believe that art has the power to transform our perception of reality". Through my works, I try to stimulate reflection and arouse deep emotions, inviting the observer to a sensorial and cultural journey. My artistic practice is a continuous becoming, an endless exploration of infinite expressive possibilities.
