ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This piece of art is inspired by the space. It's tridimentional, it has movements and it can be seen from different perspectives. It's name is inspired by the Quechua word for Water. The aim of this piece is to make the viewer be able to see the flexibility, strength and complexity that composes it. To be able to see through the piece, outside it and as a whole at the same time. Moving Art. This piece of art was inspired by the kinetism and abstraction of the space. The sewing thread was chosen as the main material because just like the human nature, it is moldeable, flexible and its transformation can become the unimaginable.

The gallery opens its doors on 2015 through trying to get a visible point of my artwork. The sewing threads were put in my hands and deep in myself I understood that this material was so alike my inner self... It was flexible, kind of difficult but very vibrant and full of color. I felt in conjunction with it. We could create something that no one put its eyes on and something that no one had ever worked on before in this way. Geometric work, line work, synergy, kinect, color and composition is something that Is always found in every and one of each of my artwork. It was in Callao that I chose to seed my very first Gallery. This province: This seaport, that is such a difficult yet a very peruvian place, intertwines all of myself and all I had within to make a dream come true, that was to be whoever I really wanted to be. To be capable of creating spaces with particular things different in each one of them, as they are and to be able get to the people out there, through them. Callao looked a lot like my job, my past life. Other people ran away of the idea that they had to socialize with a lot of different people... To me, I felt like it would be an origin, a change, and a new opportunity. Everything has changed in the end, my work is being recognized and the gallery is just part of a good story that thanks to our dreams, the energy and the circumstances we were able to achieve things that impulses us to go further to and be able to keep on sharing our art expression together, somehow. We’re a whole, we’re all part of this one big dream that is to be capable to synthesize what we carry inside and try to make it visible for the world, so everyone can see our most pure expression of what we are individually and why not, carry a little part of our inner self with them.
