About The Artwork
The artist assembled the work "human cubes WALL 101" from over 101 cubes made of chestnut burl wood. The cubes were firmly connected with beech wood dowels and glue. The chestnut wood is completely untreated and rough sawn, only the edges are sanded. The frame is made of limewood, which has been treated with a translucent white oil. As a result, the wood retains its natural color and does not darken. The back wall is made of MDF board with white acrylic paint. There is a hanger on the back for easy wall mounting. All sculptures by Manfred Hellweger are unique.
