ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Yvette Gelauff (1971) The Netherlands, The hague. THIS ARTWORK IS ‘FROSTED’, THE LAST PHOTO WITH THE BOX IS REALITY. This contemporary artwork is inspired by the neo-art and (p)op-art that I saw at the famous Art Basel Miami. Instead of copying the famous art-icons I create originals only. I like the challenge to experiment with different materials like resin, acrylic and other materials and always feel the need to create a timeless atmosphere. These days people are so busy and stressed out that I like the idea of giving them ‘art with a wink’. The art you purchase is displayed in a high-quality plexiglass box, so you can easily hang or put them down and are very lightweight. This artwork is handmade, unevenness can happen and colors may fade.
