ABOUT THE ARTWORK
My art has evolved from an attempt to write poetry. It is through the form of sculpture, and with objects and color that I was able to find that poetic voice. In many ways this piece encapsulates what I strive for in sculpture. I am trying to emulate the essence of birdsong which could be considered nature’s quintessential poetry. The pieces of fabric represent our true relationship to nature; interwoven and made from the same material.
