Kerol Montagna's ceramics are the result of a long process of research: first of all on the clay, their differences and properties, then on firing at medium-high temperatures and the effect they have on the material. The use of glazes, sometimes in very small traces, is controlled and reduced to a minimum to leave room for the earth and its natural transformation during fireing. The shapes of the objects, each different from the other, recall organic structures and find a source of pride in their apparent imperfection. Maintaining an indissoluble contact with their natural reality, all ceramic works seem to go back to their origin, representing the opposite of the artificial, aseptic and lifeless object. They almost reveal themselves as archaeological finds, custodians of a history of land and shapes, hands and pigments.
