How many times do we not stop long enough to appreciate the moment? That is the best part of plein air painting to me. I really have stopped. I am spending time in the moment, with the scene before me. Appreciating it, seeing it... really seeing it. It is then I take in the glorious nature and re-create it in my vision as a painting or sculpture. In the end, my art aspires to connect people and places...one to the other, and to the beauty of the world around us.

I am a 1999 graduate of Northwest Arkansas Community College, Bentonville, AR with an associates degree in Graphic Design, Cum Laude. I have been an artists for as long as I can remember. I have taken numerous workshops with nationally and internationaly known artists including C.W. Mundy, T. Allen Lawson, John Lasater, Derik Peniz, Jason Sarcan, Peter King and more.
