Miki Keiroz

I was born in Brazil in 1981. I live in Europe from 2004 and now I am naturalized Italian. I studied art in Rome and participated in exhibitions in Italy, France and Brazil with my sculptures, in the period between 2008 and 2011. From 2012 to 2017 I was interested in painting, without forgetting my great passion for modeling with clay, I decided to start painting with clay, creating a personal technique of painting on linen canvas with natural red clay. From 2017 to today I have been interested in digital painting techniques. To create my current collection, I take inspiration from my old drawings and sketches. Both in sculpture and in painting, the expressiveness of the human figure is at the center of my research. I studied the works of sculptors August Rodin and Henry Moore for several years, I practiced many times by reproducing the drawings of Michelangelo and Matisse. And my research in sculpture has always been the search for an instinctive expression.

I graduated in 2011 in Fine Arts with a specialization in sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. I took many courses in the field of art and learned and perfected various techniques, from Figurative drawing, contemporary sculpture, illustrations, fashion design, photography and digital techniques.
