Paul Rocero

Paul Rocero is a Filipino-Singaporean artist and a former advertising art director. A graduate of Fine Arts in the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines in 1989. He came to Singapore in 1995 to further pursue his advertising career. In between crafting advertising works, he painted numerous pieces focusing on pop realism and abstract impressionism done in oil pastel, oil paint and acrylics. He managed to be a part of a group show at Chijmes back in 1998 and a few auction sales by Larasati Auctioneers in 2007. Fast forward to 2020, saw the end of his advertising career and he decided that starting fresh as a full-time artist was the only way to go forward. Wanting to reinvent himself he started abstract expressionism, learning from established artists in the field of abstraction, through social media. Working patiently one piece at a time, searching for his own style, Paul believes he has reached a new level in his artistry.
