Anna Prosvirova

Through my artwork, I try to capture and convey the beauty found in the world around us. I strongly believe that if we all focused more on this beauty and less on the dark, ugly side of things, the world would become a better place. Beauty liberates, informs and creates joy, things I try to capture in my artwork.

I’m a self-taught artist from Salt Lake City, Utah with Russian heritage. I experimented with many art-forms through my childhood and adolescence including acting, writing lyrics, playing piano, dancing, singing, jewelry making, drawing and painting. As long as I remember, I have always wanted to be an artist.

In 2009 I started to spend a little time every day drawing or painting, took some painting classes, and explored different media (pencil, pastel, oil, acrylic, watercolors).
