I began painting because my mind felt unbearably crowded.

I work in the Business Affairs department of a film and entertainment production company. While the environment is inherently creative, my role is not: it's all about deals, negotiations, contracts. At some point, I felt a visceral need for a space that was the opposite, where I could let go of the clarity and transform what troubled me into something I could actually see.

Painting came during a period of persistent mental fog. I craved music, yet couldn’t find it. So every painting is born from a song, and from the atmosphere it leaves on me.
