Ayoung Jang

Ayoung Jang, born in 1996 in South Korea, draws inspiration from plant communities and continues to explore the complexity of life and the harmony that emerges within disorder. Having graduated from the Department of Printmaking at Chugye University for the Arts and Completed Master's Coursework in Art Education, Korea University Graduate School of Education. Jang’s signature style lies in visualizing the flow and energy of life through repetitive line drawings and meticulous use of color—much like the plants in a forest, where diverse life forms become entangled and coexist.
The artist has held multiple solo and group exhibitions in Seoul and has also participated in art fairs and auction sales, including ASYAAF. Using delicate tools such as pens and brushes, Ayoung transforms and releases inner anxiety and obsessive thoughts through the act of creation. This working process represents a development from the artist’s roots in etching toward more refined and multidimensional expressions. Through the theme of plant communities, the artist seeks to delicately illuminate the complex relationships between nature and humanity, emotion and life.
