Baki Kocaballi

My work engages with the idea of coexisting realities that are not merely waiting to be revealed but to be constructed by many entities through their interactions. I incite my audience to become more aware of various other possibilities in which reality can manifest itself in visually diverse ways. To enable such possibilities, I participate in experimental photographic performances where I lessen my authorial control over the image- making process, allowing the emergence of unique visual traces that can only exist in photo-media. These performances produce unique performative documents of ephemeral, abstract, and mutually constructed realities.
