Barbara Jankowska-John

Painting has been an integral part of my life for over forty years. My works are emotions frozen in time - a visual experience of the world as I perceive it. Through painting, I convey impressions of the moment, feelings, and memories. I describe reality using my own language of color.


I am inspired by literature, especially poetry. Written words stimulate my imagination and influence the forms I search for - forms that can move the viewer and communicate my subjective thoughts. When working with abstraction, I focus on expressing an idea rather than reproducing reality.


My artistic exploration is a search for beauty and truth through the active power of form and color. I am drawn to bold gestures and strong, expressive colors. By transforming the real world in my paintings, I strive for deep concentration and focus, allowing my work to touch and influence the human soul.


In addition to painting, I also create artistic ceramics. I believe that art is humanity’s most precious treasure
