Barbara Orsolya Szabó

I was born and raised in Debrecen, Hungary's second largest city. I started painting during my high school years, alternating chemistry classes with art. I completed my professional training in Pécs, the seat of Hungary's oldest university, where there is a vibrant abstract contemporary art scene deeply rooted in modernism.

In my painting, I am interested in the balance of color fields, moods, and the possibilities of depicting certain atmospheres.

I live and work in Pécs, where I run the Füge Studio and hold creative workshops for children and adults.
