“The work of Barbara Tosatto is subtle and elegant. It is emotionally powerful as it explores themes of metamorphosis and mind over matter. Tosatto's masterfully rendered figures struggle through their own limitations, fears, and doubts. She refers to her compositions as “a freeze-frame of an interior battle,” and describes each painting as a story, a sense, and an emotion. Undoubtedly this contributes to the evocative, almost photographic sensibility of her work.
A self-taught artist, Tosatto works and resides in Switzerland.”
