My 'Wall of Sound' music paintings. I always work with my guitar close at hand. Paint a bit, play a bit and my muse dances on.
I love working this way, un-planned, using any materials that come to hand. The musical energy just jumps onto the canvas, spins around and leaps into a receptive viewers heart and arms! It's wonderful to make someone smile. Music to my eyes and ears.
For seven years or more I was the WORLD FAMOUS PADDINGTON BEAR'S official artist.
One of my fine art prints PADDINGTON AT THE STATION was donated by its owner to the Newton Free Library Print Archive in Newton Massachusetts. I'm also a quirky vaudevillian, cartoonist, stand-up poet and songwriter.
In 2014 one of my works was shortlisted for the UK's
Royal Academy of Art Summer Exhibition.
I set sail in the morning; headed for the West. I pushed hard on the tiller; the wind it did the rest. The bow cut through the water; the breeze it kissed the sail; I saw the dolphin look at me; I smiled, he flicked his tail. Ahh! drifting on the water in the sea of dreams; no matter how you think it is; nothing is what it seems. BJM poet. c 2007
