Differentiating between abstraction and figuration is a continuous journey.
Looking for the balance and pushing more towards either realism or towards abstract shapes and lines. The silhouettes appear to be an afterimage. They show up as forms in the background, or it is the foreground. These shapes exist only because of the landscape they are in. The landscape is made by lines and colours and is an abstraction. It creates light, space, perspective and depth. Playing with the horizon, the composition the transparency and the contrast, creates a unique work. The painting is an invitation to reflect, to wander, to discover and to be curious in a new world.
