Brandon Bonds

Bellis Bonds is an emerging self-taught artist from Oakland, California. “Bellis” means beauty, and that single word sits at the heart of everything I create.
I started tattooing myself simply because I fell in love with the process — the lines, the flow, the raw creativity. Even with all the imperfections (and there were plenty), I realized those little “flaws” were what made each piece feel alive and real. That same spirit now flows into my paintings and mixed-media work.
Though no one in my family or circle introduced me to the formal art world, I’ve only been painting and drawing for less than a year. What began as pieces for my own walls and back room quickly turned into gifts for friends and family, then local sales. Every canvas is made with the same joy and honesty I bring to my tattoos.
My work is colorful, expressive, and full of feeling — whether it’s bold calligraphy asking for “More Amor Por Favor” or playful illustrations that make you smile. I create because I love it, and I hope the person who ends up with one of my pieces loves it too.
