My works are born from what I call the Ligorio
Code®.
The idea is very simple: every image, every color,
every fragment I insert into the work has its own
meaning. Taken alone, it tells little, but when it
interacts with all the other elements, something new
is born.
It's a bit like what happens in a complex system: the
result doesn't depend on the individual pieces, but
on the relationships created between them. It is
precisely from these relationships that the meaning
of the work emerges.
This is why my paintings don't aim to represent a
ready-made idea. They aim to construct it before
the eyes of the observer.
Each person can perceive different connections,
because the meaning isn't hidden in a single image,
but in the sum of the relationships formed between
images, colors, material, and space.
In this sense, each painting is like a language to be
explored: I construct its code, but it is the observer
who, with their own sensitivity, finds their own
interpretation.
This is why I say that my works don't just ask to be
looked at, but to be INTERPRETED.
