Exploring happiness, identity and visual systems.

I am a painter and designer currently completing my Master’s degree at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. My artistic practice lies between painting, abstraction, collage and post-digital visual practices, focusing on the relationship between the individual, the image and the systems that shape our perception.
My work explores how individuality can disappear within repetition, mass imagery and visual norms. I am interested in the moment when a person stops functioning as an individual and becomes a silhouette, a sign or part of a larger visual structure. I use repetition, fragmentation, colour, texture and layering to create a tension between personal experience and collective perception.
My ongoing project World’s Happiness examines happiness not as a purely personal emotion, but as a constructed visual and social system. I look at how contemporary image culture produces and reproduces ideas of happiness, attractiveness, identity and emotional behaviour. In my recent works, this research moves towards the standardisation of emotions and the transformation of the human figure into a repeated visual sign.
