Anthony Binstead

Anthony (Dany) Binstead, born in 1943 in Haifa, is a multidisciplinary artist whose career spans dance, choreography, design, and gemology. Beginning as a professional ballet dancer with the Batsheva Dance Company, he later co-founded the jazz dance group Jazz Plus and worked in musical productions. In the 1970s, he transitioned into gemology and jewelry design, founding IGI gemology courses and establishing his own design studio. Today, he continues to create jewelry and artworks while living between Holland and Israel.

Binstead received a scholarship at age 12 to study ballet abroad. He trained at the Royal Academy of Dance, the Legat Ballet School in Kent, and the Royal Ballet School in London, building a strong foundation in classical dance before returning to Israel.

Exhibited widely in international galleries and institutions over a career spanning several decades.
