Bogdan Dide

Bogdan Dide (Bohdan Didenko) is a contemporary Ukrainian painter based in Lisbon, Portugal. Working primarily in oil on linen and canvas, he has developed a distinctive figurative language that brings together realism, surrealism, and fragmented forms. His paintings explore identity, transformation, memory, and the psychological complexity of human experience.

Since beginning his professional exhibition career in 2018, Dide has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions across Ukraine, Portugal, Spain, Italy, and the United States. His recent exhibition history includes presentations at the European Museum of Modern Art (MEAM) in Barcelona and the MEAM Hall in Madrid, as well as selection for the 2026 Spotlight Showcase at Arch Enemy Arts in Philadelphia, USA.

Largely self-directed in the development of his artistic practice, Dide has spent years refining traditional oil painting techniques while developing a deeply personal approach to figurative art. His works are characterized by expressive brushwork, sculptural surfaces, fragmented anatomy, and layered compositions that balance technical precision with emotional intensity.
