Samson Ogunyemi

Ogunyemi Samson hails from Ilesa west in Osun State but was born in Lagos Nigeria. He is a graduate of the the prestigious Yaba College of Technology, Yaba Lagos, Nigeria where he bagged his National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma(HND) in Fine Art and Majored in Painting(2017).
His works are mostly inspired by diverse issues within his immediate environment which are sometimes fueled by cultural, social and economic issues.
He derives pleasure in exploring and expressing his ideas with different mediums within his reach.
The Lagos based visual artist has participated in both physical and virtual Exhibition both local and international shows as well as art competitions and has been part of different art projects within Nigeria.

His artistic practice centers on the exploration of the human conditions through stylized portraiture and figure painting. This body of work, rendered primarily in acrylic on canvas, delves into profound themes of identity, self discovery, cultural heritage, hope, and strength. Each piece is an intimate encounter, inviting viewers to reflect on the multifaceted layers that define us.
