He is an Impact Impressionist.

BR is a largely self-educated artist who has been painting in oils for many years. However, only since his retirement from business life in 2020 has he pursued an artistic public persona. He immediately began winning international online awards for his work created since then and local collectors have taken note. He has unearthed multiple influencers he can draw on, but only for their creativity, and not for style. He is fiercely determined to create and not replicate either images or other artists. 


BR’s subjects are predominantly land/seascapes, endangered wildlife, other animals and portraits. He chooses what intrigues him for a variety of reasons, researches the subject, and then creates a unique image from multiple stimuli.


He pursues his creative passion in 3 forms, all of which he collectively describes as Impact Impressionism. Firstly, BR reflects his version of impressionism on unique curved and shaped canvases he designs for each artwork himself – creating a 3D effect which is regrettably difficult to merchandise in photographs.  Then, his ...
