Philippe Briade is a Belgian visual artist based in Brussels. He dedicated many years to studying at art schools, honing his skills in drawing from live models and sketching in natural settings. Currently, he focuses on creating large-scale, non-figurative organic drawings using charcoal on paper.
Briade has exhibited his work in various solo and group shows both in Belgium and internationally. Notably, his work was recently selected for the Drawing Paper Show'25 exhibition, which took place in July at Bridewell Studios and Gallery as part of the Liverpool Independent Biennial.
In addition to his artistic practice, he teaches visual arts at the school he founded in Brussels in 2010, balancing his time between creating art and educating others.
