Brian Reverman

My process is a process of discovery rather than plan. I mistrust composition and look for means that allow for intuition to discover how meaning emerges from the result. I am interested in the nature of memory, and the imprecision of perception, and am fascinated by the manner in which some images reveal these secrets and others don’t.

Brian Reverman was born in Columbus, Ohio. He currently lives in Hong Kong. He holds an MFA from The Ohio State University and a BFA from the University of Dayton in the U.S.A. After a long career in education, he is re-emerging as a visual artist.
