Bríd Lyons

I’m drawn to the inherent spirituality in the landscape. My work is my emotional response to the vibrant energy I see in nature and is characterised by expressionistic drawing and vivid colours reflecting my intensely physical experience of being there. My paintings seek to distill the joy and beauty of a spiritual connection with nature which nourishes that most vital part of us.

I studied for my BEd at St. Patrick's College, Dublin. Alongside my teaching career I have taken many master classes with well known pastellists and painters - Margaret Evans, Stephen Quiller, Aaron Schuer, Nicholas Wilton and Loriann Signore - like Michangelo " I am still learning ".
