Britt Brown

Sculpture is my passion and has been my life’s work for over thirty years. My subject matter has always been, predominantly the female form. I work by direct carving in both marble and wood. Occasionally I will cast a limited edition into bronze. My sculptures are heroic, powerful, sensual and timeless.

I attended The National Academy School of Fine Art where I studied anatomy, figure drawing and figurative sculpture under Anthony Antonios. While living in New York City I apprenticed to Greg Wyatt, former resident sculptor of The Cathedral of Saint John the Divine. I then shifted my focus to marble carving and studied extensively in Pietra Santa, Italy before moving to Paros, Greece where I lived and taught sculpture for nearly ten years. I returned to America and have made Taos, New Mexico my permanent home since 2010.
