Kristina Burbela (b. 1992) is a contemporary feminist artist based in Torino, Italy.
Through painting, embroidery, installations, and object-based works, she examines female corporeality, resistance to patriarchy, and the effects of systemic and political violence on women's bodies. Drawing on her academic training and practice as a litigation lawyer (BA and MA in Law), Burbela addresses how bodies become sites of control — and how art can function as a form of resistance and empowerment.
Her work also explores neurodivergence and mental health, shaped by her own late diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder and ADHD, as part of a broader commitment to questioning normative structures.
Her work has been shown at the ArtNeuroVerse Biennale at Sviva Art Space (Tel Aviv, 2024), solo exhibition "A Tigress Must Have a Fur" at Auditoria Belgrade (2026), solo exhibition and residency at Nova Riznica — European Art Community of Montenegro (Budva, 2024), and "Inclusion of Life" at the Zverev Center for Contemporary Art (Moscow, 2021).
