Ilir Butka

Painter, film director and producer, he graduated from the Academy of Art in Tirana.
He lectures in film editing at the Faculty of Cinematography at the Academy of Arts in Albania from 2008 to 2014.
He was the President of the Albanian National Center of Cinematography, the official institution of the Albanian cinema, from 2014 to 2019. He was the President of the “Fan Noli” Foundation, Tirana. Founder and President of “Albania Film Commission”, member of the European Network of Film Commissions.
He founded the “Tirana International Film Festival”, the first international film festival in Albania. He served as director of TIFF until 2014.

In 1989 he began working in the animation sector at “Kinostudio Shqipëria e Re”. With “Ska-ndal Production” he has produced several successful films such as:
