Some of painting traditional concerns such as colour fields and relationships, composition and process are of interest to me and are developed within my practice.

I am however seeking to explore these surfaces within a wider context, using multiple paintings to create a whole, questioning the relationship between painting and site specificity.

I am seeking a dialogue between the material equality of paint, the object and the architectural environment in which it exists.

The placement of the individual supports within my work challenges contemporary traditions that dictate the height at which a painting is hung. The alternative positioning asks the spectator to read the work in a different way, at times forcing a physical response and direct engagement.
