Caitrin Alexandre

My name is Caitrín Alexandre and I am a
paper sculptor.
I have been madly in love with Anglo-
Saxon culture since the age of four.
My first name has an accent on the i
because it is of Gaelic origin.
I started experimenting with light and
shadow at the age of 20, intending to add
character to a paper lampshade that I
had just made for my home. That was
when I knew I was on the right artistic
path.
However, life led me to pursue other
activities: I am also qualified in floral and
interior design.
In my work, the worlds of botany and
architecture express themselves, and
sometimes come together.
Art is my light; without it, I wither away.
