Cansu Altun

Hello, I'm Cansu Altun.

I create original acrylic paintings inspired by nature. Through botanical forms, light, color, and layered textures, I explore the quiet rhythm of the natural world and the emotions it evokes. Some of my works embrace vibrant, expressive colors, while others unfold through soft pastel palettes. With each painting, I aim to create a space where viewers can pause, reflect, and discover their own personal connection.

For me, painting is more than representing what I see—it is a way of translating fleeting moments in nature into visual experiences. Every piece begins with an observation and evolves into an emotional interpretation shaped by atmosphere, light, and memory.

Earlier in my artistic journey, I also worked in digital art and NFTs. Today, my practice is dedicated entirely to original acrylic paintings, allowing me to explore a more tactile and intimate relationship with the creative process.

Education & Artistic Background

Born in Eskişehir, Türkiye, in 1997, Cansu Altun graduated from the Painting Department of Eskişehir Atatürk Fine Arts and Sports High School in 2015.

She received her Bachelor's degree in Art Education and Graphic Design from Dokuz Eylül University between 2015 and 2019, where she further developed her practice in painting, illustration, and contemporary art.

Between 2021 and 2023, she completed her Master's degree in Art and Design at İzmir Katip Çelebi University. Her thesis, "An Examination of NFT (Non-Fungible Tokens) Reproductions of Pioneer Artworks in the Digital Transformation of Visual Arts," explored the role of NFTs within the evolving landscape of contemporary visual art.

Her work gained international recognition after receiving first prize in an art competition held in Germany. She has since participated in numerous exhibitions and art events both in Türkiye and internationally.
