Carl Taylor

I'm a visual artist from Derry, N. Ireland, working mainly with paint. My latest works are abstracts drawn from memory and imagination, which consciously moves away from my previous reliance on reference materials for a more dynamic outcome. My approach is playful and experimental, working on very small to large scale works, applying medium and ‘seeing what happens’ and dabbling in unusual materials like bitumen. Last year I presented my first solo show which was a huge success and a second solo show is in the pipeline for next year.
