Carmen Chofre

Carmen is an artist who lives in Jerez where she combines the work in her studio and the artistic drawing classes she teaches at the city's School of Art.

From his beginnings his works have been inserted into a realistic style closely related to the Spanish pictorial tradition; at the same time his paintings are modern and current, always taking people and landscapes in his environment as a reference. Both his oils and his watercolors, gouache and drawings, have a serene, subtle and intimate character that moves away from the spectacle or the bombastic.
On the other hand, a branch related to fashion illustration emerges from his work at the School of Art, which nevertheless is closely linked to his portrait painting.

She graduated in Fine Arts at the University of Seville. Later she attended various workshops taught by the painter Antonio López in Spain (since 2008 to 2013) and in Italy by the painter Israel Hershberg.
