Carmo Correia

I'm a Portuguese photographer and visual artist whose career spans more than three decades between Portugal, Macau and Asia.

Trained in professional photography at A.R.C.O. in Lisbon, I hasve worked across photojournalism, fine art, editorial, architecture, portraiture and commercial photography. My professional experience includes more than 18 years as a photojournalist for LUSA, Portugal’s national news agency, as well as a long-term position as Lead Photographer and Manager at Galaxy Entertainment in Macau.

My work has been published internationally in publications including Time Magazine, The Economist and South China Morning Post, as well as in leading Portuguese magazines and international travel publications. I have also worked with international luxury brands, hotels and advertising agencies.

Alongside commercial and editorial career, I have developed an independent fine art practice, with exhibitions in Portugal, Macau and China. My work has been presented in solo and group exhibitions and published several photography books, including A Sense of Heritage, Colours of Culture and Bridge of Light.
