As a child my grandmother told me about the artist Auguste Milliere who painted her mother, she called him Uncle Milliere and told me that his small finger nail was very long, which he used when he painted, I was fascinated by it. In my late 30's while going though a tough time I stated painting and discovered that it came easy to me, whether it is genetic or not I will never know but I paint portraits just like Uncle Milliere! I am self taught, I love colour and people, when I am painting it is like meditation for me, nothing else enters my mind.
